The India Street is back with more real estate information for their readers. This time around, we are going to give you the list of Asia’s most expensive rental markets. Take a look.
Hong Kong
$6,398 a month
Prices in central Hong Kong are among the highest in the city. Hong Kong attracts businesses from all over the world, with a large sector of its Class-A rental market catering to expatriates and corporate relocation.
Tokyo, Japan
$4,102 a month
The dollar has fared far pretty well against the yen as compared to pound but still prices in Tokyo are extremely high.
Seoul, South Korea
$3,425 a month
While apartments in the Class-A sector of Seoul have appreciated 3% since last year, in dollar-adjusted terms that comes out to about $100 more a month.
Beijing, China
$2,840 a month
Talking about Beijing, there is a sharp divide between the business community and the local population. Despite very low per-capita wealth, the country's economic boom has given rise to plenty of areas that cater to the wealthy, whose appetite for luxury housing helps drive price.
Osaka, Japan
$2,564 a month
With one of the biggest population densities in the world, Japan houses an extremely dense stock of rental apartments in its centers of commerce. Despite all this, there's not enough supply to meet demand in prime locations.
