PICTURES: GMR Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad Airport Latest Update

As we have reported in the past the new Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad Airport is the best designed India airport and far sexier than its Bangalore cousin. As you can see from the pictures below, the airport is nearly operational and the airport authority is claiming the first flight will land in March. The list of airlines flying in and out of Hyderabad reads like the whose who of international aviation. The airport will certainly make a statement to those that have had to land in an unwelcoming and drabby airport in the past. It's a step infrastructure wise in the right direction and we applaud its completion next month.

According to GMR, the Passenger Terminal Building Works is nearly complete
Roof structure and external envelope works substantially complete.
Most of Electrical & Mechanical systems are in final stages of installation and Testing, Commissioning & Integration is in progress.
For ATC Complex, finishing works are in progress and 98% of works completed.
Internal Finishing works for Passenger Terminal building in progress.
Overall 95% of works completed on Passenger Terminal Building.
Civil works for various concessionaire areas are in progress.

Dear friends,
Kindly check the spelling of Rajiv Gandhi. It has an 'H' in Gand h i.

The copy needs to be checked for small errors and devils.

But the project seems to have been a thumping success with al the hands working faster, smarter and the resultant of a committed team. Best Wishes !!!
Ratna jayant Gudavally.
